It boggles my mind that I read this local news on a blog written by a friend in New Jersey. Then again, I guess it’s because the coach wasn’t a rich, white, Sandton girl.
Low blow? Possibly.
Callous? Perhaps.
Sad but true? definitely…!

WOW… that happened in my old home town. I can’t imagine why the guy would kill the coach for something so simple – is there something they’re not telling or was this guy just a bit psycho? If so, why was he still ref’ing? And why would he have a gun on the field with him?

He had a gun in case there was a penalty, and someone had to take a shot at goal. Sorry about the bad pun… Stop hitting me! Ow!
FYI the operation was called Operation Dribble. That’ll strike fear into the hearts of offenders.
