A bad example:
Once again, news reporters and writers have got it wrong. Sorry, not alleged, or supposed, she did it, there were witnesses.

Well, legally they have to refer to the slasher as the ‘alleged slasher’ until such time as she is convicted in a court of law (as opposed to a tennis court).
She might be found not guilty, you know. Which means she didn’t do it, no matter how many people saw her doing it.
Reality is weird.
