The little things…
Posted by Rich...! under Uncategorized on March 8 2005 at 9:04 PMIn January our cat Dexter was attacked by the dogs next door. We rushed him off to fourways vet where Dr Justine Downie and her team tried their best to save him, unfortunately he died two days later.
This evening I got this handwritten card:

Hell yeah. What an awesome gesture, I was floored. In today’s digital times, people, myself included, have forgotten the power of a handwritten note. Much respect.
It was such a nice gesture I (almost) feel bad telling you that she was damn hot too…!

But not that bad! Anyone who choooses to be a vet has to be nice, our vet sends christmas cards each year! One of our cats used to be a fighter, and was there on average once a month, it was like a boarding house! The only bad thing about those types of people is that they make me feel kinda shallow and materialistic in my job, for not saving the world like I planned to do…oh what the fuck, at least I make more money than them!

Sorry about your cat.
I think a rule should be started on Jo’blog, if you say someone is hot then you must post a picture. damnit!

My vet place (an all-women-run one!) sent me R10 and a welcome letter the first time I visited. Still get regular updates and Christmas stuff from them – but have yet to receive a hand-written note, I must admit.

That was a nice gesture. A rare one, too.
My condolences by the way.

Our vet in Douglasdale still sends birthday cards to all three of our animals.
