I spent the morning at the LG XPO at the Coca-Cola Dome, it fucking rocked, I managed to sneak into the FMX track so was getting pics from the ramp, as well as the roof of the Dome, here’s a few:
I’ll be back tomorrow for the FMX comp, the guy above in the orange is Ronnie Renner, well worth leaving the house to see, oh, and the local boys kicked serious ass too.
Nearly as thrilling as westcliff downhill golfcarting…!

This morning, D’ave, Chris and I were invited by clients for a thank you breakfast at The Westcliff. Sadly they couldn’t make it, and forgot to tell us, but that’s another story – we made them a postcard though.
The breakfast was fair, even though the waiter wouldn’t send Isabel Jones and her friend a glass of complimentary orange juice – with our compliments. He muttered something about getting fired, it’s a pity, we had a pose ready and everything.
However, the true beauty of The Westcliff, the gem the tourist guides don’t tell you about, is the Red Bull Downhill Extreme shuttle ride back to your car (video). This is something you must to do before you die, (moments before).
Thanks to the driver, Moses, for making our day.
Twice…!

I’m in love. Went for lunch at Campus Square mall in Melville yesterday and had the BBQ Club Sandwich from the restaurant at Woolies.
If you haven’t already, you have to try it. So good.

To me…!

Yes, we’ve just finished with Halloween… and I’m a little disappointed.
In my opinion, this is by far the most underrated holiday of the year. Especially in this country (case in point: I’m blogging this one day late). What’s the deal?
Christmas: Socks, meat and forced-family get-togethers
Easter: Low-cost chocolate and rodents
New Years Eve: Half-arsed spatterings of fireworks, booze, loneliness and booze
Halloween: Getting to dress up, the best parties you’ll see all year, chocolate and sweets (‘treats’), causing trouble (‘trick’), skulls, pumpkins, Rocky Horror songs, punch, etc.
And yet very few people take advantage of this opportunity. Even though it is in many ways preferable to the more conventional and bromidic celebrations! I mean, what’s cooler: a fat chimneysweep in his jammies, or being surrounded by ghosts, devils, ghouls and witches? I know – no contest. And there’s a fairly literal argument as to which even has more ‘spirit’.
Next year, I wanna see decorations everywhere, not just in Cardies and party shops, and I want the whole country to come to work that day dressed up. Let’s make All Hallows Eve something to look forward to! As we did yesterday. For those who put some effort in, I salute you.

Everyone knows the soft, husky, some even say sexy voice of ‘The CellC chick’. TV ads, radio ads, you know it’s for CellC when you hear that distinctive voice. Well, we all thought we did, until now.
Seems that our CellC chick has decided to spread her wings a bit and look for greener pastures. Yesterday I heard her advertising on the radio for DialDirect. But why?
Is she tired of being ‘The CellC chick’ and quit? Did she get canned? Has she realised that all her eggs were in one basket and needed to find new things? Only she, and Bruce Almighty, can answer that. But I don’t care where she goes, or who she uses her voice for, she’ll still be known by millions as, ‘The CellC chick’.
