April 2006

Lusito1-2It was fun and laughter once again at the annual Lusito Land at Wemmer Pan. And again, caiparinha’s were on the menu! A new try this year was something called a farturas, pronounced ‘fah-too-rush’. A star shaped willy-looking dough thingy covered in cinnamon and sugar. Tasty tasty.

After walking around all the stalls looking for random things to buy, a voice, like an angel, streamed across the PA system. Could it be? Have I done so much good in my lifetime that I have been this blessed? The answer: Yes. My blessing:

Lusito2-1
Patricia Lewis. In the flesh.

Again, Lusito was fun. Not as cool as last year in terms of how much stuff I bought, but, I did manage to pick up these gems:

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to my new keep-my-feet-so-so-so-warm-this-winter slippers. Just to show how enormous they are, I pic’d them with my other shoes for reference. They rock.

Elevator
Spotted at a shoot yesterday in Pretoria.

It’s not just the fact that they know the lift is broken, and would rather get a sign made than actually fix it, but also that they say “BEWARE!” instead of making you feel a bit more comfy with a word like “CAUTION”, or maybe “HEY GUYS, RATHER USE THE STAIRS”.

Then type the word Connor

Hit send

Repeat as required.

It’ll cost you R10, and that’ll make this wee legend’s folks R10 closer to saving their son’s life.

Oh, and spread the word please (that bit’s a request).

Thanks loads to Billy for the link…!

If you were asked to film the Global Launch of Caprice‘s new ‘by Caprice’ lingerie line, would you?

Most would say ‘Yes’. Me? I hire other people to do it so I can walk around looking important, and drink Jager bomb’s with the lady herself.

I really really really love my job. Some pics from last night. And no, I’m not sending any of you horndogs hi-res!

Mr-MuscleThis.

Stuff.

Rocks.

After a very long house move this weekend, all I wanted to do was get cleaned up in my new shower. Unfortunately about 2 minutes into it I was wading in a sea of soapy water. Very muck.

So the next day I bought Mr Muscle Sink and Drain Cleaner, and that it did. Works like a bomb.

The end.

Grays4X4About a week back Graham, one of The Links, had a late night altercation with a a fence that leapt out from nowhere directly in front of his car.

Today he gets a package from Outsurance containing a toy big-foot, and a card that read:

It’s easier to go Bundu Bashing with a 4×4 that a Citroen C2.
Regards, Michelle

We laughed out loud.

Much respect…!
