Bundu bashing for beginners
Posted by Rich...! under Uncategorized on April 3 2006 at 10:23 PM
About a week back Graham, one of The Links, had a late night altercation with a a fence that leapt out from nowhere directly in front of his car.
Today he gets a package from Outsurance containing a toy big-foot, and a card that read:
| It’s easier to go Bundu Bashing with a 4×4 that a Citroen C2. Regards, Michelle |
We laughed out loud.
Much respect…!

Classic. I cannot believe they have a sense of humour let alone are willing to spend cash to amuse.
Ditto the Respect.

I think that might just be my favourite story ever!

[...] Graham, one of Missing Link’s employee’s, had a car crash in his Citroen C2 last week. After filing a claim with OUT, he was pleasantly surprised to receive a package addressed to him this week containing a toy 4X4 and a note saying “It’s easier to go Bundu Bashing with a 4×4 that a Citroen C2. Regards, Michelle”. Bravo. Read the story and see the comments here. [...]

Due to recent requests to see how the car is doing, I’ve decided to blog about the toy story, its actually even better than it seems: Michelle Christopher’s (my connection at Outsurance handling the claim) father had a triple bypass (and it wasn’t looking hopeful at that time) at the same time the claim was being filed and settled (some might say you wouldn’t be very focused at a time like that). 2 hours after I filed the claim not one but TWO tow trucks pitched up to collect the car (a little muddled you say? But you’ve gotta love the effort!).
Michelle posted the toy 4×4 to me the next day while the car was getting assessed but due to bad postal service it didn’t reach me till a week later.
From filing the claim to assessment to settlement and at present the car has already been stripped and parts on the way – time frame: 10 working days
I have the 4×4 on my mantle piece.
Graham
p.s. Not everyone seems to be as efficient, the auto-body place still hasn’t given me my courtesy car (but hopefully Monday) and Michelle they haven’t given me any toys yet!!??

[...] Graham from Missing Link was sent a toy car by the call-centre agent at Outsurance when he crashed his car. He blogged about it, and many a reader of his blog (including me) was impressed by the remarkable courtesy and good humour displayed by the insurer. [...]
