Just another wee reason that Vida rocks my world.
Posted by Rich...! under Uncategorized on October 10 2006 at 8:54 AMA few years back Le Fran introduced my to the joys of Vida e Caffe. I f you like coffee but haven’t yet tried these guys you’re seriously missing out.

It’s not just the coffee though (but I must stress that that coffee is fucking good) but the overall experience you get when you visit them, there’s an attitude to the place – and the attitude rocks.
Anyway, I just got as sms from them. it read:
| Ola. We notice it’s your birthday this month. Enjoya cafe of your choice on us. Simply pay using your loyalty card. Os nossos parabens de Vida e Caffe. |
Nothing new, just another nice, small touch from a company of nice, small touches.
Obrigado…!

Thank you for re-affirming that “the horses nose” still rocks! I am in the process of expanding my business…and in a world where there are so many of my kind… its those little extra unexpected bits that put one ahead of the pack…even if its merely by the skin of my nose (and yet…I be not a horse..) I expect to win!…ur blog rocks!

Vida E was introduced to me in Slaapstad while on a gig, by Josh Lindberg eating a Salmon & Egg delicious something or other and the muffins do not compare to ….. anywhere …..
Vida E rocks but so does Jozi
They also do Jazz on a Sunday morning if anyone is interested!!!

Awesome coffee shops no doubt about that!!
I’m seriously considering resigning from my current job to open up my own Vida shop. I reckon its a worthwile if not potentially lucrative investment.

A friend of mine’s brother runs the Greenside, Rosebank and Sandton Vida’s and he was telling my wife and I that there is such a long list of people waiting to open their own Vida. People are handing them wads of cash to get a franchise and there seems to be way more demand than there are franchises available.
I am still getting used to the food there but the drinks are awesome!

If you get a chance to read this book – Primal Branding (http://www.amazon.com/Primal-Branding-Zealots-Company-Future/dp/1400102197), you’ll see why Vida has generated the buzz, following and experience that they have.
All about creating zealots for your brand. Great read – great coffee – great vibe.

That’s a nifty little concept – almost enough to melt my heart. But they still stand for all that is the Capetonian “I’m like so much fucking better than you” vibe. Pity i’ve never been into Vida in Joeys – i may not have had such a tarnished opinion.

And, lets be honest, it’s also just sour grapes that my birthday has been and gone this year and now i have to wait for my freebies.
