Once again, the other morning saw us wiping our eyes after hearing another heartwarming story on 94.7‘s Christmas Wishlist. This time it was for Adri Briel, whose 7-year old son sold his bicycle for R40 because she didn’t have money for bread.
He sold the bike, bought some bread and gave her all the change. What an amazing kid.

Cute? More like YUK! How contrived. Xmas wishlist – A croc of crap to make listeners get weepy. There is a lot real need in this country but unless its cute its not newsworthy. Mum is a supervisor at a cellphone company? You mean those bandits who have been fleecing us relentlessly for over a decade and continue to do so. I think she should have enough money to give her kid R2. I bet Highveld would have loved it if the kid was disabled or had sold a kindney instead of a bike. Thanks for listening

hi my name is mary i am am 19yer old girl.my wish is for my mum and dad and still live wit my mum and dad. this yer was not a grat 1 early this year my gran mother past away 29/01/2007 my mum has not yet got over her mum. but i dont think she ever will my mum and then need money so i left school to help out my brother and his wife stayed wit my ouma and helpted and wer thay gud.then thay had no wer to go so thay moved in by us we stay in a 2 bed room flat my mum and dad fight lot coz thay never get time to spend together coz i sleep wit my my in her room and my beother and his wife in the other my dad in the siting room. our finances is not to good. i dont have a BIG wish i just want to know if you cud help us get sum food in our house so my mum can stop woring soooooooooo much about food for the next day.

hey guys, i just want to tell you about my mother (Fransien, she is a very hard worker, she works at senwes in Oberholzer and she does about everyone’s work and doesn’t receive acknowledgement for everything she does and all of the people’ work put a hole lot of stress on her. and when she comes home, she has to make food for our kids and she cleans the house by herself and she is always tired. i just want to know if you can help me get my mother to a spa, because i feel that she needs it, because she is always stressed and she has spasm in her shoulders and can not sleep sometimes. i really hope you can help me with that. my mother’s number is 083 292 3956.

Morning Guys.Firstly I would like to thank you all for a great program, my wish is for my brother in law two year ago he had a accident due to a taxi that swerved in front of him on the highway which left him in a wheel chair and without and income the doctor say he is a miracle he was unconscious for four months of the year he was in hospital he has a wheelchair but it to small for him and hurts him my wish for him is that he can get a bigger wheelchair he is going into hospital today again for an op to the knee he has already had an op and it did work we are hoping and praying that it will work this time round they are going to try and reconstruct the knee, I hope you can make this wish come true as he has had and still is having great pain and difficulty coming to terms with his disability i cant express or even begin to tell you of all the pain and injurious, he and my sister have been through at lot this last two year and to make matters worst they had to give up the only income they had.So PLEA…………….SE CAN YOU TRY AND HELP HIM.Many Thanks Amelia my Cell Number is 072 4400 628

Ek wil graag n wens uitstuur na my ma toe. Ja, ek weet elke dogter wil iets spesial vir hulle ma’s doen. Daarom maak ek gebruik van die geleentheid, want my ma verdien dit.
Ma jy is alles wat n mens wil he. Jy was en is nog altyd daar vir ons sonder om te kla en sonder die NEE woord. Ons wardeur dit, maar nie eenkeer het ons gedink hoe ma voel nie.
94.7 Ek wil graag he dat die brief julle aandag moet trek.
My ma kom uit n baie weldadige huwelik waar drank die baas was. Ons kinders was nog klein, maar nogsteeds het sy eerste aan ons gedink en dan aan haarself. Sy het op die ou end met my pa geskei waar my pa ons met net ons klere gelos het. Dit het nie my ma onder gekry nie. Sy het net n nuwe begin gemaak. Gewerk as n kassiere en drie kinders in die skool geonder hou. As n mens klein is besef mens nie wat die lewe oor gaan nie en ons het nie die lewe vir my ma maklik gemaak nie.
Sy het n paar jaar nadat sy geskei is n man ontmoet, nou ja dit was “haar geluk” wat ons kinders nie kon verstaan het nie. So het die lewe aan gegaan….
Toe tref die tragedie. Die man is dood en die seer kon nie genees. n Jaar daarna is my pa oorlede, nou hoe genees mens nou van die seer. Maar nogsteeds het my ma sterk gebly vir ons kinders.
So het die jare verby gegaan en al die drie kinders het skool klaar gemaak. My ma het alleen deur die moeilike tyd gegaan maar die krag van die Here is groot en het vir haar n wonderlike man gegee.
Hulle het n plot op Badplaas gekoop en daar was my ma op haar gelukkigste. Toe tref die tragedie weer n keer. Sy en haar man moes Pretoria toe en vir my boetie gevra om die plot op te pas. Wat gebeur toe? Iemand steek my ma se huis aan die brand waar my broer gesukkel het om uit te kom. Op n manier het hy uit die huis gekom maar hy was net vlamme. Die buurman het dit gesien, die vlamme op my broer probeer blus en met hom na die plaaslike hospitaal gejaag waar daar nie fasaliteite vir sulke gevalle is nie. My broer het gelewe vir vier dae waarna my ma hom versorg het.
Net n paar maande later het sy haar broer en suster verloor en moes sterk wees vir haar ma. Nou vra ek HOE kan een persoon deur sulke HEl gaan. Deur om alles te verloor en net weer op te staan en van voor af te begin. Sy is ook maar net n mens en met trane in my oe vra ek hoe genees mens die seerste seer en hoe genees mens n gebroke hart want sy verdien dit nie. Die pyn waardeur my ma is kan niemand genees nie.
Nou werk sy by n maatskappy waar sy gelukkig is maar werk haar dood. Sy werk sewe dae n week sonder n rus kansie. Sy doen so baie vir ander sonder om iets terug te vra. Dit is n ma 2000. My ma is ons rolmodel en ons kyk op na haar.
My wens vir my ma en haar man is net om wegtebreek. Sonder om n vinger te lig. Sonder om enige stress te he en net om te ontspan, al kan dit nie die seer en hartseer wegvat nie, maar net vir ma die geleentheid gee om te RUS. Ma is alees vir ons, ons is baie lief vir ma

I am also a mom, know the pain,stress,worry not knowing how and where I will find money for rent,food,medicine,clothes,school fees, the list is endless. Have twins age 13 and a husband unable to work due to illness. I work on a contract basis and get no money for overtime. Up at 4am, do the washing, start work at 7.15am, no lunch, leave at 6.30pm, no supper, hotdogs, tuna on bread, make lunch for kids next day, iron, so tired. Wish that someone can help us. My wish goes out for my sister Karen who`s husband died a few years ago,every week she bought bread and buns with some of the money she got and gave it to the church so it can be given to people who need it she also invested money but it fell flat that left her with nothing,she is working but is looking after her three girls with their kids and the money she get is not even enough to pay the water and lights and to buy food and she is using a car that is not roadworthy so my wish is if she can be helped to get transport and her house can be rewired as it was in the proses of being rebuild when the investments fell flat.I would wish for a car secondhand old car will do.Hope somebody can help her.

I am just sending this email prying to God that u will help me , this pass year have been very very bad for me. I am a single mother of 2 my mother is staying with me and she is not a healthy person and my brother is staying with me as well so I have to look after him to, well he went every where just to get a job but they say he is not qualified and I am the only one who can provide food in the house because all my money go’s for the rent after that I don’t have food to put on the table , there is sometimes that I have to go and ask for foot by other people just to give to my children , I don’t even have money to pay for my transport every month to get to work and home and I can not lose my job because if I do lose it then we will and up in the street, I don’t even have money to get Christmas present’s for my children
I really hope you can help me this year to make a difference and a Christmas which come true .

It’s sad that we as a nation have become so self absorbed that we think other peoples suffering is a “Crock of Crap”
You might oneday be in a similar (or worse) situation,and people will be saying the same to you. How would you feel?
The fact of the matter is no matter how big or small an act of kindness it never goes unnoticed and is truely appreciated by those on the receiving end.
Have you ever done or given something to someone just because you could and they couldn’t? I don’t think so, because then you’d understand how good it makes a person feel to know you’ve helped make a difference.

Thank you once again for an amazing show. I just love the Christmas Wish List. Ever since he lost his job she has been struggling to make anns meat. Her salary only covers the basics like rent and debits. She can bearly buy the daliy bread. my skoonsuster Cornelia Powell het die 25 November 2009 ‘n ernstige hartaanval gehad in is in I.C.U. In die N17 hospitaal opgeneem sy het nie ‘n medies ni en is n enkel ouer wat werkloos is. Haar hospitaal onkostes beloop so R12500-00 per dag. Sy moet so gou as moontlik ‘n angiogram van die hart laat doen maar ons het ni die fondse nie. Die Dr. kry ook ni vir haar ‘n bed in die Barragwana hospitaal in die I.C.U. nie as iemand ‘n oop hart het ons sal dit baie waardeur. Sy het ook ‘n seun wat volgende jaar nog matriek moet klaar maak.

I would like to know if only needy and sick people could submit a wish list. A colleague of mine have two kids Johan (9) and Analize (8) who perform extremely well in karate. They received 70 medals between them in 2009. They both received invitations to particicpate in the USA next year, but finance is a problem. They are looking for sponsers to help.

hi my name is naomie ,i would like to make a christmas wish for me and my family.my first wish is for our electricity to be put on,they switched it off last year october for no reason.second wish is to get a job and support my kids,since i lost my job in 2007.third wish is to wish that i can please get legal assistance.i wish i could explain everything now.my heart is herting so much,seeing my children to suffer like this.i realy did go out to some places and look for a job. the only income is the grant money we for the two kids.the body corparate is refusing us to put in a prepaid meter.
we even got that social package from city power to get free electricity,still they refuse us to put in the box.we were sitting in the dark since october2008 until now.i got all the prove to show we paid.i do not have internet of my own that is why i went to internet cafe/my number is 0724523924

Dear highveld team. I am writing this on behalf of my sister ,whom has survived her suicidal attemps. I wish that u give driving lesson after she finishes her matric this year. I hope u could give her a benefit of the doubt as she has overcome the worst of her life. She is turning 18 on the 30th of Nov.she would have gotten her licence if it werent for the hospital bills. Im proud to say she has recieved outstanding marks so far.

So she started at a pharmacy with a sallary thats something not even to speak of and the worked very hard and went studying credit manegement to look after us and provide us with a home ect. my mom is realy the best and i wish she can get a huge surprise on christmas that will show her how much me and my sister appreciates her. I have a sister, Sunet, who is 32 years old, she has 2 daughters who are in school and a son who is nearly 2 years of age.Since he was born she has spent many of nights at the hospital. The fact that he is the way he is he can not sit up nor can he use is own hands,cant talk nor eat on his own. For the rest of my sisters life she will have to pick him up, bath him even feed him. When I was young the welfare sent me to stay with her,she is a single mom. If all this doesn’t make you think she is amazing she gave birth to a son who has movement disorder and epileptic who she raises on her own. She lives in a old house were everything falls apart, she doesn’t have a car to get her son to the hospital when needed. His name is Kai-den and means little warrior, and he is a warrior. My wish for her is to help her with maybe food or a car or anything would do. She is an amazing mother with a a great heart who just needs to know that others do care.
I would love it if you could take this time and consider helping.

Weet my hart is so seer dit kom al hoe nader aan kers tyd en tye raak al hoe moeiliker ek weet nie meer watse kant toe nie ek en man en 2dogt bly by my ouers in een kamer ons is 8 in n 3slaapkamer staats huis ons is 4in een kamer my pa en ma in een kamer en dan is dit dit die 2laat lammietjies van my ouers in een kamer my pa is nog so ver by ons nadat die dokters vir ons gese het as hy hierdie winter deur maak is dit n wonder werk en hy byt nog steeds vas hy is 24uur op n suurstof mashiene wat met krag werk en munsipaliteit het nou koop krag by al die huisies kom in sit en nou moet jy nog krag betaal van die 2voorige maande en krag koop ons kan sonder krag die machine werk met krag en dan so 2maande terug het die dokt vir my ma gese daar is vout met haar hard sy moet gaan vir toese en so gou as moontlik ek weet nie meer watse kant toe nie want sy is op n wag lys by die staats hospitaal hulle sal haar laat weet waneer sy kan kom vir die toetse ek se kerstyd gaan nie net oor presente nie dit gaan oor liefde en oor christus maar hoe vir duidelik jy dit vir kinders wat klein is al hierdie dinge hkm is daar nie geld om hulle ouma en oupa te help en hkm is daar nie dit of dat in ons huis want die maaitjies het dit ek wil net hardloop en hardloop want ek en my man weet nie meer hoe ons moet maak dankie aan julle wonderlike radio stasie dis n plesier om na julle te luister en Sam die program van die babbas het my baie geleer dankie Groete Sally

hi my friendin het hulp nodig.sy het uit gevind haar seuntjie is doof.die toets wat sy gedoen het is R500 en die volgende een wat hul nou moet doen is R1800 en daarna volg die toetse wat nog gedoen moet word.weet nog nie wat die koste daar aan verbonde is nie.die kind moet na ‘n spesiale skool toe gaan en hul het nie die geld om dit en die toetse te doen nie.sy werk maar vir ‘n kleuterskool en ek weet nie wat haar man doen nie.maar hul het nie geld vir al die goed nie.kan jul dalk asb help

I’m desparetely in need of your help with some donations .I have saved up to 10000 for now to help my wife cos she is strugging to conceive due to weak ovulation and eggs are not strong enough.her gyanecologist prescript clomid for but it doesnt help us she is still unable to get pregnant.she is 34 years old an for we’v been married frm 2006 and since then we’v benn trying an trying with no sucess an the specialist recommended the invitro fertility treatment.Dats the only way she can be able to hav a child of her own.I’v got a kid from my previous relationship but i was also checked if the problem is not me but the Specialist comfirmed that my sperms were fine the is no problem watsoever.
Pls help me to make her happy cos my wish is to see us happy with our own kids oneday an we’v been praying to god almighty to bless us with a child an we believe that god is able .we both lov kids so much dat we even take our friends an family kids to come spend weekends with us and we are so waitin to get pregnant and raise our own child with lov.we thought of adoption but dat will follow later.my wife always say if she had money like ada celebs she would hav four kids by now cos some wait till 40 sumthin to get pregnant as long as u hav money. Dis procedure is so expensive it cost abt 40000 but we hav no choice but to go for it.wen she sees a pregnant woman she cries an ask god why me ;y do i hav to go this hard way while ada woman doesnt,she is really not enjoying her life at all she doesnt about care about material things.
The only thing dats missing in her life is a child , she gets so emotional abt this whole thing she get angry wen somebody asks her if she hav kids even if the person doesnt know her .wen i meet her in 2003 she was stayin with her younger brother an her cousins daughter an she told me they wer her kid as she raised them like her own with a mothers lov cos she comes from a poor family an she is the only bread winner in the family.she did so much for her family an so resposible wife i lov her so much i gav her all my support at all time.
Pls help me make dis posible to make her wish of havin kids come true.she’s been takin clomid an vitamins an she doenst gav up ,an thats how much it means to her to hav a baby.she hav tried all fertility suppliments she can get but with no success.It breaks my heart to see her sad an hopeless even though she doesnt giv up on praying for the miracle to happen.Pls help us cos the medical aid do not pay for this fertility problems.

In Febuary this year my sister of 17 years old passes away…. her and her boyfriend were found in a car and were gased we have so many unanswered questions as she was not suicidal at all she could not wait to turn 18 and wanted to study and travel the world, her boyfriend of six months was very depressed and had just come out of rehab for depression , we are not sure if she went along with it thinking she could stop it? but they both died.please help cheer my mom up over this first x mass without her child around my mom even spoke to her the night before and there was no indication of this at all. the next morning i will never forget watching the Morg Van drive off with her inside of it, not even being able to look at her one last time.

Please can i ask for your assistance. My sister Heahter is in need of some help. She is devorced and has two children and is strugling at the moment.
Her lights and electricity was cut off due to non payment. She has managed to pay a small amount towards it, so she has been reconnected, but if she does not pay the rest of the outstanding amount by Friday 10th of December she will be disconnected again. This in particular makes me very sad as i am not in a possition to help her. I know there are so many people out there that need help and are so deserving of help. My sister means the world to me, it just breaks my hear that i cannot help. Please can you help. I would be forever gratefull.

We do accrobatic gymnastics.we hold nr 1 ranking in each devision.we dont have sponsership.we need funds for world championships march for Orlando USA by Disney world .THE KIDS ARE FROM PREVOUISLY DISADVANTAGED AREAS.THEPARENTS AND MR OOSTHUIZEN dont have the necessory funds to pay for kids flights and accommodation,these kids train 4 hours a day monday to friday then 5 hours on saturdays, and 10 hours a day on school holidays.three of our kids haver Protea National colours . Most of the kids wont be able to represent SOUTH AFRICA NEXT YEAR.WE HAVE TO PAY ALL FEES BY MID JAN 2012. So if possible is there anybody that can help. GOD BLESS.

Die laaste 2 maande was n harde tyd van baie trane vir die Theologo familie .Sylvia Theologo is my beste vriendin n sterk mensie wat haar dogter afgestaan het aan die dood laas maand in die mees grusaamste manier ooit. Haar dogter Kirsty Theologo en haar vriendin Bronwyn was gebrand in n satanistiese offering en Kirsty is oorlede. Ek seker dat julle wel weet van die geval. Ek weet die familie het n bietjie sonskyn in hul lewens nodig ek ken hul omstandighede en weet hulle sukkel vreeslik my wens is dat die gemeenskap hulle harte sal oopmaak en help met meubels kos en Sylvia en haar kinders die beste kersfees kan gee . Die huis kan doen met n goeie verf nuwe matte en nuwe meubels iets wat die familie nie regtig het en kan bekostig nie. Die familie kan doen met n bietjie vreugde in hul lewens ek weet dit gaan nie haar dogter terug bring nie maar ek hoop dit sal weer n glimlaggie bring vir die enkel ma van vyf wat so swaar moet dra aan haar laste.

Please could you help my friends out, they need all the help they can get. My friend Gary was retrenched two months ago and his wife doesnt work they have two children Shannon age 11 and Chantel age 7. He is really battling to find a job this time of the year and now with christmas around the corner its even harder. They running out of money and wont be able to pay for their house, food etc. I really don’t like seeing my friends go through such a hard time. I was wondering if you could maybe just help with Christmas present for their kids or even groceries for them until they come right.

My Chrismas wish would be for my mother Roma that is currently blind in the right eye and are trying to save the left with treatment at the Jhb Gen.As she is only getting a old age pention and really trying to keep her head above water and I have always tried to help her where I can, but my son has also been without a job for 2 years and my husband are trying to do some maintenance work, but is not always possible and therefore we can’t assist my mom the way we were doing before. Try to help where we can, but is very difficult at this stage. We are also in the process losing our house.
Wish to help her to have a good Chrismas and have enough food on the table.
