Yeah Rich…!, I forgot them too. Here’s the story, I won’t go to Primi Rivonia because of outright racism, I won’t do the fish place because of the aforementioned story, and the Mimmos across the road from my place – and all subsequent Mimmos because of this – has hired muscle (some pretentious mafioso guy) who usher myself and, from my observation, other black people to leave their resturant ASAP, using some excuse that we’re causing a ruckus – quite the generalisation.

Ahhhh 4k/month earning managers, gotta love ‘em…

I had something similar thing happen to me back in the day when a group us [10 or so] celebrated a mates 18th at Eastward Tavern in Pta for lunch. A number of us were over 18 and a few weren’t. After the manager had checked our ID’s he told us we could order our meals but absolutely no beverages, not even water (wtf), and leave as soon as we had finished the meal. It wasn’t like it was going to get any busier.

We told him to sod off and left. As we were leaving I walked up to where my parents and their mates were sitting [20 strong and waiting for more] and told them about what had just happened. All 30 of us stood up and walked out.

They lost a good deal of customers that day…

You know what, it’s less smart business practice and more basic human ethics. A person like that doesn’t deserve to interact with people. I would have caused a friggen scene. Scene of note.

Hey, it’s better than being asked to leave because your “kind” detracts other customers from coming to the resturant but that’s how it goes. My list for resturants to evade is now Mimmos and the Ocean Basket
