Fly McDonalds
Posted by Don Packett under Uncategorized on March 14 2007 at 5:27 PMAfter dinner on my flight to Cape Town on Tuesday night, I saw a passenger, an elderly man, taking two trays to the back of the plane, then return to his seat.
Either he eats way too much take-away, or he hates having a mess in front of him. Either way, it was my one bit of amusement on the flight, as BA has no fucking drop-down TV screens.

Dull flight huh?

We once found ourselves flying down to Durban (for a new years bash in Margate) on a particularly bumpy flight…which we loved! My brother and myself like to throw our hands up and shout “whoooohoooo!” when others turn green.
Anyway, there wass this couple with two screaming todlers (I beleive it’s due to the pressure hurting their ears?)…about half way though the flight the man in the seat behind them shouted “HEEEEEY!!!” in a loud and urgent way. For a moment I thought maybe the wind had ripped off one of old Kalula’s duck-taped wings, but he was actually joining in with the screaming kids.
For the rest of the flight the whole plane was entertained by the argument between him and the proud father and the eager-to-get-everyone-settled flight attendant. They broke it off 2 minutes before we started coming in for landing.
I’ll have to say so far that was my most memorable flight…well okay maybe just slightly less memorable than the one where I jumped out of the plane.
Have you considered packing a book to read?

Nothing like a free roller-coaster ride. It’s especially exciting on Kulula flights given their oldish planes (thank God Kulula are in the process of replacing them).

I don’t understand this post. Old man carrying trays to back of plane. What is funny about that? Please explain?

Koos, normally the stewards or stewardesses would give everyone their food, then drinks, then a while later come and collect all the rubbish.
I’m guessing this is to stop unnecessary traffic in the aisles (if people had to dispose of their own rubbish at the back). This guy decided to do it himself.
Like Rich…! said, it was a dull flight!

Are you sure that BA dont have drop down TV’s. How frequently do you fly with them?
