Well that happened to me this morning, as it does, and I coughed up some really really dodgy dark-brown-almost-black goo. I haven’t been sniffing snuff, or even running down dusty roads.
Am I going to die?

Coughing up black stuff is generally associated with smoking marijuana. So if you don’t smoke marijuana and you’re coughing up black stuff, get expert advice pronto. It’s probably nothing to worry about, and your doctor will gladly charge you a consultation fee to confirm that!
