I thought it was a pretty clever idea. Would’ve been even better if it actually worked though!
No waiter when we pressed CALL, no bill when we pressed BUTTON I. We were close on pressing BUTTON II to call the manager when our waitress eventually walked past and we asked for the bill.
Rad things are only rad when they function properly. Or at all.
It wasn’t all bad though, I would definitely recommend the Eggs Benedict next time you venture out SA. Yum.

Don, the shocker is: Instead of training staff to be observant and attentive, this is the nuovo so-called ‘answer.’ Go to Mugg’n Bean Rosebank Mall, or Cappello in Sandton City and the waiters are engaged in a perpetual Indaba – usually facing away from the tables. I regularly cause scenes when this happens. My fave line: Am I interrupting your conversation, or are you serving customers? Must be said LOUDLY!
And thanks for letting us know you were going through International departures. Flying to Benoni were you?

The key thing was ‘not-so-cheaper’, found a jacket in there that was WAY more expensive than ‘on the outside’. Crazy.
