SA politics up to shit
Posted by Don Packett under Uncategorized on November 30 2007 at 1:11 PMWhy?
Because only a stupid stupid stupid bunch of people could vote for and back a man who:

1. was fired from his role as Deputy President,
2. thought showering could cure AIDS,
to run for the leader of the ANC, and ultimately the president of the country.
Now, I’m by no means a politician, but this sounds awfully similar to what went on in point 1 above. The race for party leader is a close one, but it seems to be swaying a little in Zuma‘s favour. Now I ask you, would any sane individual vote for someone with so much dirt on him if they weren’t getting a little (or a lot) in return?
It’s crazy.
Like I said, I’m not an expert, so if anyone would like to clear any of this up I’d really appreciate it.
At least uncle Desmond knows what’s right for the country!

South African politics have become petty and small-minded, the pricks in parliament don’t engage in any really debate.
As for Zuma, he really takes the cake (and showers thereafter), he doesn’t deserve to be president. His strategy is based on “the struggle” and I find this pre-1994.
They are proving not have any real leadership strategy within the ANC, there wasn’t such stupidity in the party when Thabo and Madiba were elected for office.
On the upside, the opposition might be much stronger after the next elections, such that whoever is president is grabbed by the NUTS.

Yup I feel for this place when that cock gets into power (and i didn’t use when, we all know he will lead this place and make it a utter shithole for the next 4 years)
sigh…

Guys you’re both victim of media manipulation. First Zuma never said he took a shower to cure HIV. He was explaining the sequence of events he did after having conceptual sex with the woman. If you’re real men surely you have taken a shower/bath after having sex. Our country needs new direction although Zuma is not ideal but there’s no other candidate that is better than him. Stop being narrow minded, we (blacks) know what’s best for our country, that is no white president will be allowed, unless he spend 27 years in robben island.

Mxo, that certainly is a racial thing to say, ‘no white president will be allowed’? C’mon man, there’s been no talk of either black or white, it’s between Mbeki and Zuma, get over yourself, racism is old news.
As far as Zuma taking a shower is concerned, he said, and I quote: “…as an additional measure to me to clean myself, because I knew the type of person I was sleeping with.”
So he was trying to clean himself, fine, but if it was contracted while having sex, it’s contracted, it’s not like he can soap out the inside of his willy all the way inside his body, let’s be reasonable here.
Your comments are, although welcomed, not helping the issue at hand.
I have to disagree about your comment that ‘there’s no other candidate better than him’, and especially about your non-white president comment, it’s not about colour, it’s about making this whole rainbow (lots of colours) of ours an awesome place to live and thrive.
Think about it. Open your mind a little. You might learn something.

I cannot see how someone who is going back on trial for corruption can be allowed to even be in the running for ANC’s next president. If he is convicted our country will be run my a criminal. There are other candidates that would be perfect for the job, Tokyo Sexwale, Cyril Ramaphosa?
Mxo, the post above has nothing to do with racism. It was merely pointing out that Zuma is seriously not fit for the job, and not once was it mentioned that Don was pushing for a white president.

“We blacks” is such a narrow term to use in trying to solicit support from other “blacks”, which in itself in I find placing Mxo at the Zuna camp.
Mxo your argument isn’t sensible – cos it suggests that if one doesn’t support any of the leading candidates then their not “black” enough. If the person isn’t fit the seat then – do it only because you’re both black. Or at least he is.
I’m throwing my toys out of the fucking cot. And, yes, I happen to be dark skinned.
