The multi-award winning film: “Bunny Chow”
Posted by Rich...! under Uncategorized on December 2 2007 at 9:52 PM
WTF? I guess I’m not South African enough. From all I’ve read this film is supposed to be funny – hilarious even. I didn’t crack a smile (granted I only managed 47 minutes, perhaps the laughs come later).
The continuity gaffs irritated me too. Dude, paid taxis drop you at the door – no need to walk (you’d need to watch the film to see what I mean, but don’t), and grammar mistakes for fuck’s sake, you don’t need an apostrophe in “honey’s” to show plural, just possessive. Okay, so I’m nit-picking, but fuck me, what a load of wank.
Is this seriously the best we have to offer?

How deeply depressing…!
Ps. If ever I get around to watching the rest of this film, I reserve the right to amend this post…don’t hold your breath though.

It is the kind of movie that looks better than it is I suspect.
SA has the talent, it just needs confidence in the execution…
Annoying that the DI (digital intermediate) and High End Post was in NY and Sweden…(but perhaps in distro terms it made sense given the state of the dollar)
But at least if you are going to do homegrown shit, then do it all at home

That trailer alone has convinced me not to watch it.

Rich, tap on the wrist for you, Squire! The grammar universe strikes back.
It’s ‘nit-picking’, not ‘knit-picking’. Unless you are indeed unravelling your grandma’s latest efforts with the needles. Tres warm regards, Clive

Rich, forgot to add…. that’ll be three Hail Marys from you – kneeling on crushed glass – and I don’t wanna hear a whimper!

Hehe, good old Clive always there to correct us grammar police!

I watched the first 30 minutes of this on a plane and had to turn it off. Like Rich, I might not be their target market so maybe I’m not supposed to get it. All I know is that my aeroplane dinner was more enjoyable.

Shame, at least they tried to up their ante a bit with Waddy doing the soundtrack. Not that it worked though, oh well.

Haha, rats, that’s actually what I thought. Technically though, that’s a spelling mistake, not a grammar one

Uh, ‘scusi Rich, that is NOT going to let you off the penance.
I’ll grant you the benefit of the doubt, but it falls into the category of things like; ‘wetting’ the appetite, instead of ‘whetting’(i.e. sharpening) the appetite, ‘racked’ with pain instead of ‘wracked’ etc.

And I thought I was the only one. The only time I smiled was when my hubby sat on the remote and accidentally switched over to something decent.

I’ve read your blog top to, er, well, here… Well, enough to note that your grammar isn’t the greatest either. In fact, I found it quite a distraction from the subject matter, which, I’ll give you, is quite interesting.

Hahahaha, *blush*. Alas I guess it’s always easier to spot mistakes in other people’s work than your own. Having said that, I’m just a wee blogger, that’s a highly produced movie that people pay to see…!
