Every Sunday night for the past seven years or so ‘Da Dungeon’ in Cool Runnings, Melville, has been host to the Comedy Underground, sponsored by John Vlismas and Whacked Management.
Last night I was fortunate/brave/stupid enough to actually deliver a 5-minute set, which was incredible. I booked myself in 3 weeks ago and was determined to make it as rad as possible.
Thanks to John and the guys at Whacked Management, all the other comedians (Darren, Kedibone, Etienne, Vittorio, Claudine, Dale and Kudo) and especially the awesome crowd for making my first gig such an awesome experience. I have to admit I reckon I did okay. I got lots of laughs, and ripped some people off, so that was cool. Next time, I imagine, I need to up my game to keep this ball rolling.
Catch the best end to a weekend at Cool Running in Melville, Sundays at 19h30. One day soon you might just see me back there.
Good times.

On Saturday, before the Sharks killed the Bulls, I picked up my new (to me anyway) Kodak Brownie 8mm Movie Camera I bought on bidorbuy. Knowing our excellent postal system, I chose to collect it directly from the owner. So we started chatting about what he does, and then he showed me this:

The mother collection of old handheld games. Mario. Donkey Kong. It was insane. Plus they’re all worth quite a pretty penny now. Good times.
The owner, apart from auctioning and selling goods on bidorbuy, owns and runs Cool Things. Check it out.

Thanks to a heads-up from @jasonzoopy, I just watched the new gameshow, The Moment of Truth. Eish.
Contestants are hooked up to a rigorous polygraph prior to the show and asked 50 (hectic) questions.
Some of those questions, and their answers are then revealed on the show, and the contestant has to answer truthfully. This time in front of friends and family, a live audience, and, well…us.
I tell you this, if you can go the full 50-minutes without cringing for the poor bastard in the chair, you’re a better person than me.
Catch it Friday nights on Mnet Series at 21h00 (with repeats Sat at 15h00).
Oh, and no amount of money could get me to take part …!

My mate Steve has a girlfriend. She had a photography project. What she needed to do was take 16 individuals photos, with a film SLR (not digital unfortunately) and put them together into one shot. Quite a mission.
This is the result.

That’s me btw. Awesome.
