Thanks to a heads-up from @jasonzoopy, I just watched the new gameshow, The Moment of Truth. Eish.
Contestants are hooked up to a rigorous polygraph prior to the show and asked 50 (hectic) questions.
Some of those questions, and their answers are then revealed on the show, and the contestant has to answer truthfully. This time in front of friends and family, a live audience, and, well…us.
I tell you this, if you can go the full 50-minutes without cringing for the poor bastard in the chair, you’re a better person than me.
Catch it Friday nights on Mnet Series at 21h00 (with repeats Sat at 15h00).
Oh, and no amount of money could get me to take part …!

I think the guys that bare all for the chance to win some cash on this show drive straight from here over to the Jerry Springer studio. It’s unnatural to want to reveal this kind of stuff in front of the world!

I would be the first person in line to be on this show if it were in SA.
You know why? No Regrets. I pride myself in being as transparent with people as possible. It’s a great trait I think that I have that often gets me in loads of trouble. If it will win me $500 000 I would tell the truth 21 questions straight. I guarantee it.
But without the incentive,I think I’ll just continue on my current streak of transparency and honesty. It’s working well, most of the questions they asked I’d gladly answer.

Nic, that’s all well in good, but a bit selfish – sure honesty is great, but you’re not the one that’s going to get hurt by it.
Unless of course you are actually a saint – but that would be too boring to comprehend…!

Dude, that show’s hectic. My heart goes out not only to the contestant but the family and friends who are in the studio with them too. Trust the Americans to come up with a show of this nature though

This show in the US makes my skin crawl. I was really fascinated the first time I watched it but the second time I could only watch a small piece and now I don’t want to watch it at all.
